ブリンズリーの母体となったのは、1967年から'69年まで活動したKippington Lodgeというバンド。このCDはそのキッピントン・ロッジの全シングル及びブリンズリーのシングル（ほとんどオリジナル・アルバム未収録）をまとめた 便利なコンピレーションです。キッピントン・ロッジは優しいメロディとまるっこい音作りが良い感じの英国ポップ。もうちょい押しがあればヒットしたかもし れない佳曲が多い。
イ ンチキ臭いバンド名を使うこともあったブリンズリー物にも出物が多く、The Hitters名義のシングル（Heptonesのカバーですかね）は、B面にヴァージョン（インスト）を収録するというレゲェの作法にのっとった仕様 だったそうです。なんでビートルズカバーがやたらに多いのかよく分かりませんが、本格ブリンズリーサウンドの20.などは完成度が高いし、60'sの小ネ タを織り交ぜた19.とかも面白いです。

"Fifteen Thoughts"は解散後のコンピ。毛首席がコンセプトを担当した（？）ジャケットに記載されているディスコグラフィが当時とても重宝しました。

共に'71年から'75年にかけてのBBC音源からの編集盤です。'01盤ではアルバム以上に懐の深いリズムが印象的、演奏力の高さを改めて認識 させられます（いつもは軽々と演っているように聞こえるので、演奏上手くないんじゃないの、みたいな話もありましたがトンデモないことですぅ）。3.、 5.のR&Bフィーリングも最高。サム・クックの1.は"Silver Pistol"風でこれまた泣きます。6.なんか今まで聴いた中でもピカイチのカヴァーかも。さらに14.以降はフランキー・ミラーも加えた熱い演奏を堪 能できます。ヴァン・モリソンのラスト曲ではニックが頑張って例のリフを弾いています。
'04年盤でスゴいのは、スタジオ盤未収録のオリジナル作品がたくさん聴けること。14.や19.（Lowe/Gomm共作）はここで初めて聴きましたし、16.、17.なんかはもう完成している感じです。こちらのほうは割と洒落た演奏が多いようです。
